The Tokonoma Suite is open again from the first of December, with its heated floor and its camellia branch.
When the snow comes the suite is the quietest room of the house. The floor is warm under the tatami, the paper screens glow in the afternoon, and in the alcove the house puts a branch of winter camellia.
Dinner is served in the room, next to the heater, and the futons are laid out while you are in the bath. Booking the suite in December and January also gets you the long breakfast, with the grilled fish and the pickles of the season.
